Nigeria Police Lock Out House Speaker Aminu Tambuwal

Nigeria Police yesterday, barred National Assembly members from convening, locking out the House Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, causing provocation among members who started trying to scale the perimeter fence in an attempt to break into the premises. The ensuing rowdiness led the Police to throw tear gas at members to dispatch the aggrieved members in an attempt to dispatch them.

The Top Police boss in Abuja claims the action to close the House was informed by a security alert that thugs were planning to storm the House with intension of creating trouble.
